Hi Guys, Writing this blog from my personal experience at TCS for the position of Assistant System Engineer Profile. Hailing from an Pvt Engineering College and being an average student, Service based company remains the only hope for most of the engineering graduate, Today, I will tell you about my Journey.
Application Applied :- TCS NQT EXAM
So, NQT(National Qualifier Test) in my case i have attempted my exam from TCS ION Center . Exam majorly consist of Maths, Reasoning, English and 2 Coding Question (Basic Coding Questions). I have not attempted any single code in the exam But other portions of exam went well yet I received mail from TCS for Interview which was in virtual mode.
Interview Questions asked :- There were 3 rounds (Technical, Managerial and HR)
1) Technical Interview :- It mostly depend on your resume whatever written in your resume will lead your interview on that direction But Typically it starts from your Programming language mine was python. Interview started with OOPS concept then Explain Encapsulation? then they come directly asking "Are you aware about any recent technologies like IOT, CLOUD, AI/ML etc. I said Cloud then my interview journey starts with the flowing questions on cloud.
2) Managerial :- One Panelist ask me "Will you join TCS if we depot you at Iran ? " I confidently replied " Yes" then next question arises "How would you manage two assignment came altogether ? " I replied with clean and crisp answer of Priority or Task management of assignment and will do the high priority task first and till i will politely convey this message to my senior that i will pick another less priority task after completion of current task.
3) HR Round :- This round is useful for checking up the basic nature of candidate, HR asked me (Question inspired from my hobby which was cricket) "Who is your favorite sportsperson and why ?" I simply replied " M.S Dhoni and because of his cool and calm minded approach towards complex and tough situation and team leadership quality inspires me the most". HR said "Very well, pls send me your Documents in the pdf form on the mentioned mail id (which HR has written down on chatbox) ".
So, In 99% cases if HR asked to send him/her your Document. My Friend you have made it !!! 🎉
